You must have successfully completed a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills before enrolling. You should also have good written and spoken English and be emotionally ready for a course that involves personal reflection, group discussion, and feedback. Applicants must not enrol with someone they know, to ensure a safe and confidential group learning environment.

Is This the Right Course for Me at This Time?
This is a demanding and reflective course designed for learners who are emotionally ready to explore deeper aspects of counselling theory and their own personal development. You will be expected to share personal experiences, reflect honestly on your values and behaviours, and take part in discussions that may be emotionally challenging.

While this Level 3 Counselling Course promotes self-awareness and insight, it is a professional learning programme, not group therapy. You will be required to give and receive feedback, explore sensitive topics, and work closely with peers in a respectful and confidential setting.

Because of the personal nature of the course, you cannot attend with a friend, colleague, or family member.

If you are currently receiving therapy, counselling, or support for your mental health – or taking medication – it’s essential that you consult with your therapist, support worker, or GP before enrolling. They can help you decide whether this course is appropriate for you at this stage in your personal journey. If it becomes clear during the course that additional emotional support is needed, you may be advised to access further support outside of the classroom.

Please get in touch for more information.

Assessment of this Level 3 Diploma in Counselling is based on a mix of written assignments, reflective journals, tutor observations, and practical skills demonstrations. There are no formal exams, but you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence showing your progress and understanding.

Successful completion of this Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Course provides a pathway to the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, which qualifies learners to practise as trainee counsellors under supervision. Alternatively, learners may explore further qualifications in mental health, coaching, or related support roles.
